Reading & Literacy Specialist

Job description

Kingstone Hill Academy is hiring a Reading & Literacy Specialist to help build confident, fluent and lifelong readers.

Key responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality reading and literacy instruction.
• Support learners who require additional help in reading.
• Strengthen phonics, reading fluency, comprehension and written literacy skills.
• Promote a strong reading culture across the school.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to improve literacy outcomes.

Requirements:
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Registered with the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ).
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in phonics and literacy development.
• Experience in Primary or Early Childhood Education.
• Handwriting and cursive handwriting skills will be an added advantage.
• Passionate about developing confident readers.
