Rubber Extruder Operator
Seniority Level: Mid Career (2 - 4 yrs exp)

Key Responsibilities
- Operating Machinery: Setting up, adjusting, and operating molding presses or extruders.
- Production Duties: Loading rubber compounds, pigments, and chemicals into molds, and removing finished products.
- Quality Control: Inspecting parts for defects, such as flash (excess material) or improper curing.
- Finishing Tasks: Trimming or grinding excess rubber from molded parts.
- Maintenance & Safety: Performing minor machine repairs, troubleshooting, and following strict safety procedures (PPE, chemical handling).
- Documentation: Completing production logs, check sheets, and reporting issues to supervisors.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Manufacturing experience is usually preferred.
- Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, drawings, or standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Competencies: Attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work in hot/heavy environments.
Working Conditions
- Often involves working 8-hour shifts, with potential for weekends or overtime.
- Environment may be hot, loud, and involve exposure to chemical fumes.
