A highly organized, assertive, and detail-oriented Sales Coordinator / Assistant is required to support the Sales Manager and sales team. This role focuses on administration, reporting, follow-ups, task management, and ensuring that all sales-related functions are completed accurately and on time.
This is not a sales role. The successful candidate will act as the Sales Manager’s key support person, coordinating activities, tracking performance, and ensuring accountability within the sales department.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and executive support to the Sales Manager.
  • Monitor and track sales team activities, deadlines, and outstanding tasks.
  • Follow up with sales staff to ensure quotations, customer requests, and action items are completed timeously.
  • Allocate and monitor tasks as directed by the Sales Manager.
  • Compile and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Analyse sales data and highlight outstanding actions, trends, and areas of concern.
  • Maintain sales trackers, customer databases, and reporting systems.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and action lists.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and filing of sales documentation.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled.
  • Assist in managing the Sales Manager’s diary, meetings, and priorities.
  • Monitor staff productivity and provide feedback to management regarding outstanding tasks and commitments.
 Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Relevant qualification in Administration, Business Management, or a related field will be advantageous.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior administrative, coordinator, or Personal Assistant role.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong report-writing and data analysis abilities.

  • Experience with ERP systems, CRM systems, and sales reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and reporting dashboards.
