Sales Engineer

Role Description

• The Sales Engineer will work closely with the sales team and clients to understand business needs, translate technical solutions into clear value propositions, and support the entire sales cycle. Daily activities include preparing and delivering product demonstrations, responding to technical inquiries, providing pre- and post-sales technical support, and assisting in proposal development and solution design.
• The role also involves engaging with customers on-site, gathering feedback for continuous improvement, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure solutions are feasible and aligned with client requirements.
• The Sales Engineer will maintain accurate records of client interactions, support customer training sessions, and contribute to meeting sales targets.

Skills & Specifications

• B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales engineering or technical sales
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Strong knowledge of engineering products and systems within the Manufacturing and Oil & Gas sectors, including valves, pumps, compressors, pipelines, turbines, and automation.
• Solid understanding of industrial processes
• Strong capacity to recommend cost-effective and technically sound solutions based on client needs and operational challenges
• Familiarity with installation, maintenance, and lifecycle performance of industrial equipment
• Strong negotiation and commercial awareness pricing, margins, contracts
• Excellent client relationship management skills especially with engineers, procurement teams, and decision-makers
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with CRM tools, sales forecasting, and pipeline management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
