Trainee School Secretary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming telephone calls and provide customer service to students, parents, and staff
  • Maintain student and staff records, transcribe minutes of meetings, and file documents
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and other materials as needed
  • Perform data entry, filing, and other clerical tasks
  • Monitor school attendance and manage student/Staff attendance records
  • Provide assistance to the school staff with administrative tasks
  • Assist with school operations
  • Handle confidential information with discretion
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

School Secretary Requirements and Qualifications

HONEST AND RELIABLE PERSON

  • SC or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a school secretary or related administrative role will be beneficial.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Office Suite and other software programs
  • Ability to maintain confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Professional demeanor and customer service-oriented attitude
