Secondary School English Teacher (IGCSE)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary School English Teacher with a strong background in delivering the IGCSE English curriculum.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction, preparing students for external examinations, and fostering excellent communication, literacy, and critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach English Language and Literature to secondary school students using the IGCSE curriculum.
• Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
• Prepare students for IGCSE examinations and other external assessments.
• Assess student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records.
• Participate in curriculum development and departmental activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic performance.
• Participate in extracurricular and school activities as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in English, English Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Teaching qualification PGDE/TRCN certification is an advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching the IGCSE English curriculum.
• Strong knowledge of Cambridge Assessment standards.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience preparing students for outstanding IGCSE examination results.
• Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
