Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support the development, reformulation, and optimization of decorative, industrial, and automotive coating products.
- Conduct laboratory testing, formulation trials, and product evaluations to ensure quality, performance, and compliance with technical specifications.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, formulation documentation, test reports, and experimental data.
- Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products, and investigate product quality issues through laboratory analysis.
- Participate in pilot production trials and provide technical support to resolve manufacturing and formulation challenges.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Production, Technical Service, and Sales teams to support product development, customer trials, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate alternative raw materials and formulation improvements to enhance product performance and achieve cost optimization.
- Provide technical support during customer site applications and communicate field feedback to support product enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment SHE, ESG, ERM, Kaizen, and all laboratory safety and environmental standards.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, facilities, and workspaces in a safe, clean, and operational condition.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, or a related field.
- 3–5 years' experience in the paint, coatings, or related chemical industry.
- Knowledge of formulation, product development, raw materials, SDS, and laboratory testing methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for laboratory documentation and reporting.
