Server/Field Engineer – Johannesburg - R20 000 – R25 000 p.m (depending on experience and qualifications)
A leading company in Johannesburg is looking for a skilled Server/Field Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize server and network environments for its clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows & Linux servers
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Handle backup, disaster recovery, and security compliance
- Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file servers
Requirements:
? 3+ years experience in server administration
? Expertise in Windows & Linux environments
? Familiarity with scripting & automation (PowerShell, Bash)
? Strong knowledge of cloud & monitoring tools (AWS, Azure, Nagios)of
? Own transport required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications (MCSA, MCSE, RHCSA, CompTIA Server+)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Expertise with monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, Zabbix)
