The Service Sales Technician will be responsible for providing top-tier customer support, overseeing equipment installations and repairs, and actively growing sales and revenue within the Services Business Unit across KwaZulu-Natal. This hybrid role perfectly balances hands-on technical fieldwork with strategic service sales development.
Key responsibilities
- Complete detailed service reports and efficiently communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate and execute field service activities in alignment with customer needs and local sales teams.
- Install, service, and repair industrial refrigeration and air conditioning units, along with all associated components.
- Provide professional telephonic technical support to customers troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Identify on-site sales opportunities within customer plants to promote Service Level Agreements (SLAs), once-off services, parts, and accessories.
- Proactively follow up on sales leads to grow the customer base and expand service revenue.
- Process in-house evaluations and technical repairs on units returned by customers.
Requirements- Grade 12 (Matric).
- A formal, recognised Refrigeration qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant industrial refrigeration or climate control field.
- Strong working knowledge of refrigeration products, electrical meters, and technical troubleshooting.
- Previous field service experience is highly preferred.
- A valid driver’s licence and an unrestricted ability to travel to customer locations.
