Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site to ensure they are completed safely, efficiently, and according to design specifications and schedules.
  • Supervise and direct on-site workers and subcontractors, assigning tasks and ensuring that work is being carried out effectively.
  • Monitor work quality standards to ensure that construction work meets regulatory requirements, industry standards, and client expectations.
  • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment and reduce the risk of accidents or injuries on the site.
  • Keep detailed records of project progress, including daily reports, work logs, and materials used. Provide regular updates to managers and stakeholders.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process, such as delays, design changes, or material shortages.
  • Manage resources on-site, including materials, equipment, and labor, to ensure efficient utilization and cost-effectiveness.
  • Serve as a point of contact between different stakeholders, such as project managers, contractors, clients, and regulatory authorities, to facilitate smooth communication and coordination.
  • Keep track of project costs, monitor expenses, and ensure that the project stays within budgetary constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements to avoid fines, delays, or legal issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree B.Eng in Civil Engineering. Second Class Upper

Certifications:

  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration OSHA certification.
  • Certified Construction Manager CCM or equivalent.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are often required.

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of proven site or project management experience.
  • Track record of managing workers, subcontractors, and suppliers effectively.

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Familiarity with construction management software.

Soft Skills:

  • Leadership and team management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination.
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Organizational and time management skills
