About the Role
- We’re looking for a Social Video Editor who lives on social media and thinks in hooks, cuts, and trends. You’ll be responsible for turning raw footage, ideas, and briefs into scroll-stopping videos that grow our brand across Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn. You’re equal parts editor + social strategist.

What You’ll Own
- Edit for platforms: Cut, pace, and style short-form videos 7-60s for Reels, TikTok, Shorts. Also handle 2-10min YouTube/long-form when needed.
- Hook mastery: Design the first 3 seconds to stop the scroll. Add captions, SFX, music, transitions, motion graphics that match brand voice.
- Content pipeline: Edit 3-5 videos/week from brief to final export. Fast 24-48hr turnaround.
- Social publishing: Schedule + post content using Meta Business Suite, TikTok Business, Later/Buffer. Write captions, hashtags, CTAs.
- Trend + data driven: Monitor trends weekly, test formats, report on watch time, retention, saves, comments. Double down on what works.
- Community engagement: Reply to comments/DMs when needed to boost engagement and build community.
Requirement
You’ll Thrive Here If You Have:
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 4-7 years editing short-form content. Portfolio with viral/reel examples required.
- Pro in CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects. Canva + basic motion graphics is a plus.
- Deep understanding of each platform’s algorithm + best practices for 9:16, 1:1, 16:9.
- Strong sense of timing, pacing, sound design, and storytelling.
- Social media management experience - content calendars, scheduling, basic analytics.
- Eye for trends and ability to adapt them to our brand without cringe.
- Organized, deadline-driven, and great at taking feedback

- Clear growth in average watch time + saves across platforms
- You’ve built a swipe file of formats that work specifically for our audience
