Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability.
- Record all stock movements including receipts, transfers, returns, and dispatches.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
- Prepare stock valuation and inventory reports for management.
- Maintain accurate documentation of stock transactions and inventory records.
- Work closely with the procurement and sales teams to ensure efficient stock flow.
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances, damages, and losses.
- Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and company policies.
- Assist in preparing financial reports related to inventory and cost of goods sold.
- Monitor expiry dates and slow-moving stock where applicable.
- Reconcile stock records with accounting records and support audit processes.
- Utilize inventory management software and accounting systems effectively.
- Support budgeting and cost-control initiatives related to inventory management.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualification & Requirements
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
- Accounting background or experience in bookkeeping/account reconciliation is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory/accounting software.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
