What You Will Do
- Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including VAT, WHT, CIT, PAYE, and other statutory obligations.
- Support tax computations and reconciliation of tax accounts.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation of tax records and correspondence.
- Assist in responding to tax queries and requests from regulatory authorities such as the NRS and State tax agencies.
- Participate in tax audits and investigations under the guidance of senior team members.
- Monitor tax deadlines and support timely compliance with statutory requirements.
- Assist in preparing tax schedules, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct research on Nigerian tax laws, regulations, and emerging developments.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the tax team as required.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and confidentiality in handling tax-related information.
What You Bring
Educational Qualification
- Recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Must have successfully completed the National Youth Service Corps NYSC programme.
- Strong academic record.
Experience
- Previous internship experience or coursework in taxation, accounting, finance, or related areas is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulations is beneficial.
