What You Will Do 

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including VAT, WHT, CIT, PAYE, and other statutory obligations. 
  • Support tax computations and reconciliation of tax accounts. 
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation of tax records and correspondence. 
  • Assist in responding to tax queries and requests from regulatory authorities such as the NRS and State tax agencies. 
  • Participate in tax audits and investigations under the guidance of senior team members. 
  • Monitor tax deadlines and support timely compliance with statutory requirements. 
  • Assist in preparing tax schedules, reports, and supporting documentation. 
  • Conduct research on Nigerian tax laws, regulations, and emerging developments. 
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the tax team as required. 
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy and confidentiality in handling tax-related information. 

What You Bring 

Educational Qualification 

  • Recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. 
  • Must have successfully completed the National Youth Service Corps NYSC programme. 
  • Strong academic record. 

Experience 

  • Previous internship experience or coursework in taxation, accounting, finance, or related areas is an added advantage. 
  • Basic knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulations is beneficial.

  • Basic understanding of taxation and the Nigerian tax system. 
  • Tax computation and reconciliation. 
  • Documentation and record management. 
  • Research and analytical skills. 
  • Microsoft Office proficiency Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

  • Integrity and confidentiality.
