Applications are invited from competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions that have arisen within the organisation.

TRANSPORT MANAGER- (GRADE 4)
The incumbent will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for the following among other duties: –
 Implements and manages an effective fleet management system to support business objectives.
 Ensures that Zimpost Transport Policy is in place and continuously upgraded in alignment with business needs as well as ensuring implementation and maintenance of it.
 Planning and preparing transport repair and maintenance schedules where necessary and authorized, facilitate repairs by external garages.
 Ensures an effective national transport and distribution network is developed, implemented and maintained.

 Designs contingency plans, minimizes disruptions and resolves any unscheduled logistical delays within a reasonable time.
 Identify, mobilize and optimize on resources to ensure all logistical and transportation requirements are met.
 Manages fuel requisitions, distributions and accounting.
 Processing insurance for the fleet with insurers.
 Ensures all drivers comply with standard operating procedures and road regulations i.e. valid drivers’ licenses, driver retests, defensive driving certificates e.t.c.
 Provides technical and strategic information/advice related to acquisition of new vehicles.
 Keeps custody of fleet documents such as registration books, vehicle spare keys and fleet register.
 Oversees the management of workshops.

QUALIFICATIONS
 Degree in Transport and Logistics or equivalent.
 A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
 Professional qualification in transport/fleet management will be an added advantage.
 A Clean Class 4 driver’s license.
 A minimum of 5 years relevant working experience, 2 of which should be at a supervisory level.
