Role:

Reporting to the Treasury Lead,

The Treasury Accountant is responsible for supporting the treasury function in managing the company's cash flow, liquidity, banking activities, and financial risk. The role focuses on daily operational treasury tasks, reporting, and assisting in cash management processes.


Key Responsibilities:


Cash Management & Monitoring

  • Monitor daily cash balances across bank accounts.
  • Prepare daily cash position reports.
  • Assist in cash-flow forecasting (short-term).
  • Track inflows and outflows to ensure sufficient liquidity.


Banking Operations

  • Process payment requests (local and international transfers).
  • Maintain relationships with banks for routine operations.
  • Assist in bank account administration (opening/closing accounts, documentation).
  • Reconcile bank statements with internal records.


Payments & Transactions

  • Process payments (bank transfers).
  • Assist with payment scheduling and approvals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of transactions.


Cash-Flow Forecasting

  • Help prepare short-term cash-flow forecasts.
  • Gather data from departments to support forecasting.
  • Track and report variances between forecast and actual.


Reconciliations & Reporting

  • Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Support preparation of treasury reports.
  • Maintain transaction records and audit trails.


Compliance & Controls

  • Follow treasury policies and internal control procedures.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in financial transactions.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.

Requirements:


  • Must have at least bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in treasury, finance, or accounting.
  • Must have basic understanding of financial concepts and cash management.
  • Good analytical and strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and develop treasury expertise.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Excellent Ms Office especially Excel skills.
  • Must be familiar with accounting or ERP systems like SAP specifically
  • Have good understanding of financial concepts (cash flow, reconciliation).
