About the Opportunity
The Paralegal Alliance Network (PAN) Zambia, in collaboration with the Zambia Land Alliance (ZLA) and Transparency International Zambia (TI-Z), is seeking committed individuals to fill 11 volunteer Community-Based Paralegal positions. This full-time volunteer role spans from January 2026 through December 2028 and focuses on empowering communities through legal education and advocacy.
Project Locations
The project is active in the following districts and communities:
Kalumbila: Mukumbi, Munema/Matebo
Mufumbwe: Chizela
Mkushi: Chitina, Shaibila
Serenje: Kabamba, Muchinda
Mansa: Chimese, Mabumba
Kawambwa: Chama, Mushota
Key Responsibilities for Volunteer Community-Based Paralegal Jobs in Zambia
Lead community awareness initiatives on land governance, environmental rights, and gender equality.
Facilitate local grievance redress and alternative dispute resolution processes.
Document land disputes and environmental rights violations to aid legal referrals.
Collaborate with traditional authorities, local government bodies, and vulnerable community groups.
Support Community Land Advocacy Committees (CLAC) and Study Circle groups in their advocacy efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
Certified permanent resident of one of the targeted districts listed above.
Possession of a TEVETA-recognized Level III Paralegal Certificate.
Fluency in the local language spoken within your district.
Demonstrated commitment to human rights, social accountability, transparency, and gender equality.
