Job Description
- We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Account Officer to join our finance team in Abuja.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting overall financial operations.
- This role requires strong analytical skills, integrity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and statements
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Prepare payroll schedules and ensure timely disbursement
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies
- Handle invoicing, expense tracking, and financial documentation
- Support internal and external audits
- Maintain proper filing systems for financial documents digital and physical
- Liaise with vendors, clients, and financial institutions when necessary
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience as an Account Officer or in a similar role
- Professional certification e.g., ICAN, ACCA is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, Wave, or similar tools
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
