About the Role:

Administrator Shutdown Contractors Jobs Solwezi The Contractor Administrator will be pivotal in ensuring all contractor-related activities supporting process plant shutdowns are meticulously planned, coordinated, and controlled.

Reporting to the Coordinator, Shutdown within the Engineering Planning department at Kansanshi Mine, this full-time position focuses initially on the S3 site. The role serves as the central liaison for contractor administration, logistics, performance monitoring, and contract support to guarantee contractor resources are available, compliant, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities Coordinate contractor mobilization and demobilization, including site access, accommodation, transport, and onboarding processes. Maintain clear visibility of contractor resources during shutdowns, aligning workforce requirements with shutdown and weekly plans.

Support the development and review of clear scopes of work to define contractor deliverables prior to engagement. Collaborate closely with Planning, Training, Execution, HSE, and contractor representatives to ensure readiness for shutdown operations.

Track contractor attendance, working hours, and resource utilization throughout shutdown periods. Maintain comprehensive records of contractor performance and develop a contractor history database to aid future selection and reviews.

Assist with contractor evaluations, lessons learned, and post-shutdown reviews to foster continuous improvement. Support contract administration including documentation control, compliance monitoring, scope management, and invoice verification.

Prepare detailed reports on contractor performance, manpower levels, costs, utilization, and compliance. Identify and escalate risks related to contractor availability, logistics, or contract execution to avoid shutdown delays.

Coordinate internal transportation for engineering personnel during shutdowns.

  • Shutdown Contractors OEM Representatives Service Providers Labor Hire Companies Qualifications and Experience Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Diploma in Business, Logistics, Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • All academic qualifications and results must be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
  • Familiarity with document management systems and electronic document management processes.
  • Basic understanding of legal documents.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience within a mining company or planning team is an advantage.
