The position will be approximately 75% bookkeeping and 25% operational support.
Key Responsibilities: Bookkeeping (75%) Full bookkeeping function up to trial balance Processing supplier invoices and customer invoices Bank reconciliations Debtors and creditors management Monthly financial reporting Capturing and maintaining accurate financial records Managing accounts payable and receivable Assisting with payroll administration Maintaining financial filing and compliance records Working efficiently on Xero accounting software Operational Support (25%) General administrative and business support Assisting with customer queries and account-related matters Coordinating operational paperwork and documentation Supporting management with reports and ad hoc tasks Assisting with scheduling, tracking and internal processes Helping improve efficiency of daily office operations
Requirements: Fluent in Afrikaans and English (essential) Proven bookkeeping experience Experience working on Xero (essential) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good organisational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and take ownership Strong computer literacy Previous experience in a small business environment advantageous Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Skills & Attributes Trustworthy and reliable Proactive with a “can-do” attitude Comfortable managing multiple priorities Professional and customer-focused Enjoys being part of a close-knit team
Qualifications: Bookkeeping/accounting qualification or relevant experience preferred Minimum 2–3 years bookkeeping experience preferred
