We are seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join a leading company within the mining and construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, fault finding, and repair of a wide range of earthmoving equipment.
Minimum Requirements:- Qualified Diesel Mechanic with a recognised Trade Test and Red Seal certification
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience working on earthmoving equipment in the mining and/or construction industry
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Experience working on equipment such as excavators, loaders, dump trucks, graders, dozers, and other heavy machinery
- Ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs efficiently
- Valid driver's licence
- Willingness to travel to various sites when required
- Must be able to speak Afrikaans and English
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing on earthmoving equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently
- Complete job cards and maintenance reports accurately
- Minimise equipment downtime through effective troubleshooting
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures
