Reporting to the Senior Estimating Engineer, the job incumbent will be mainly required to:
Key Responsibilities
•Design medium and low voltage electrical installations
•Identify all technical aspects of electrical and fire alarm tenders
•Value-engineer of electrical and fire alarm designs
•Attend design meetings
•Material take-off from drawings
•Liaise with local and overseas suppliers
•Prepare and price bill of quantities
•Prepare tender compliance sheets
•Attend tender negotiation meetings
•Conduct handing over meetings between tendering team, QS team and site teams
•Conduct site surveys and prepare material & labour breakdown
Qualifications & Experience
- BEng in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of working experience in a similar position
- Fully conversant with electrical shop drawings and construction drawings
- Registration with the CRPEM would be an advantage
Other Requisites
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good team player who can work under pressure
- Computer literate and fully conversant with MS Office applications
