Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase requests as per established procedures whilst ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Negotiate with local/international vendors to secure favourable terms such as payment facilities and lead time
- Follow up with the supplier on the progress of material deliveries and rectify order inconsistencies
- Provide regular feedback to Operations proactively with regards to pending orders
- Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risks
- Maintain accurate records of purchase, price and existing suppliers
- Review the performance of all vendors and suppliers
- Research and evaluate prospective suppliers
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or any equivalent qualification
- 3 years of proven working experience in imports, dealing with shipping lines and customs
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills

- Capable of working in a team and being results-oriented
- Able to handle work within tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and multitasking skills
