Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the full finance function
  • Able to map processes, identify risks and inefficiencies and report back on them
  • Experience in preparing AFS and tax reconciliations
  • Good understanding of IFRS and Tax legislation
  • Experience in reviewing recons and ensuring they meet timelines and are accurate
  • Logical and methodical in approach
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and internal controls
  • Oversee audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
  • Analyse financial performance and provide strategic insights to management
  • Review reconciliations, journals, and balance sheet controls
  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the finance department
  • Support commercial and operational teams with financial guidance
  • Mentor and supervise junior finance staff

Minimum Requirements

  • Qualified CA(SA)
  • Completed SAICA article
  • Strong technical accounting and reporting skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Sage, or similar)
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
