A well-established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Trade Tested Fitter to join its maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
- Ensure minimal downtime through efficient fault finding and repairs.
- Perform equipment modifications and assist with new installations.
- Carry out basic fabrication and boilermaking tasks as required.
- Maintain high engineering and safety standards.
- Participate in standby and emergency breakdown duties.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / NTC II.
- Trade Tested Fitter.
- Minimum 5 years post-apprenticeship experience as a Fitter in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of:
- Welding
- Brazing
- Cutting torch operations
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- High standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Reliable transport.
Own tools required.
Experience within a chemical, industrial, manufacturing, mining, or heavy engineering environment will be advantageous.
