Foreman

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the workshop.

• Allocate work to technicians and monitor productivity and efficiency.

• Provide technical support and guidance to workshop staff.

• Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults on forklifts and material handling equipment.

• Perform quality inspections on completed repairs and maintenance.

• Ensure all servicing and repairs are carried out according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.

• Monitor work in progress and ensure jobs are completed within agreed turnaround times.

• Ensure accurate completion of job cards, inspection reports and service documentation.

• Liaise with the Parts Department to ensure timely availability of required components.

• Maintain high workshop housekeeping standards.

• Enforce compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.

• Coach, mentor and develop technicians to improve technical skills and performance.

• Assist with customer queries relating to technical matters where required.

• Drive continuous improvement in workshop performance, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
