Boutique Hotel in Morningside; Durban is looking for a Housekeeper. The Housekeeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness; presentation, hygiene standards and operational efficiency of guest rooms, public areas, laundry . The role directly impacts guest satisfaction, online reviews, brand standards and room revenue performance . Duties: Clean and prepare guest rooms according to 5* standards SOP’s Change linen, towels and replenish amenities daily. As per SOP`s. Clean bathrooms, patio’s, furniture and fixtures. Vacuum; dust and sanitise all guest spaces. Report maintenance defects immediately. Ensure minibar and guest supplies are replenished. Handle guest requests professionally and handover to supervisors. Maintain housekeeping trolleys and cleaning equipment. Follow health, hygiene and safety procedures. Assist with laundry and linen management. Ensure room presentation aligns with luxury standards. Requirements: Grade 12 A formal qualification Strong attention to detail. Physical stamina and efficiency. Time management skills. Knowledge of cleaning products and procedures. Ability to work independently. Basic communication and guest interaction skills. Reliability and punctuality. Understanding of hygiene standards. Teamwork and professionalism. Superior understanding of 5* requirements.
