What you’ll be doing

  • Manage the full HR function across recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and exit processes
  • Handle employee relations, disciplinary matters, and grievance procedures in line with labour legislation
  • Ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, EE, and other relevant employment laws and regulations
  • Oversee payroll input, leave administration, and employee record management
  • Support line managers with HR policies, coaching, and best practice guidance
  • Drive HR initiatives such as wellness, engagement, and training interventions
  • Prepare HR reports, maintain HR systems, and contribute to audits and compliance checks
  • Assist with Employment Equity submissions and Workplace Skills Plans
  • Support and manage HR-related functions for a workforce of approximately 1 000 employees

What you’ll need
  • 2 – 4+ years’ proven HR generalist experience, ideally within services, facilities, cleaning, or housekeeping industries
  • Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR practices
  • Experience supporting a large workforce in a fast-paced operational environment will be advantageous
  • Relevant HR qualification (Diploma or Degree preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Afrikaans or other African languages advantageous)
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes when required
  • Clear criminal record
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and conflict management skills
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and a solutions-focused mindset
