Set within the Timbavati Nature Reserve, this boutique property offers an intimate luxury safari experience in one of South Africa’s most iconic wildlife areas. Designed to host a maximum of eight guests, the lodge focuses on exceptional service, attention to detail, and creating memorable bush experiences. Guests enjoy a refined yet personal atmosphere, blending high‑end hospitality with the raw beauty of the wilderness.

Core Criteria:
Lodge Manager:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior management role within a lodge or luxury hospitality environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all lodge departments (F&B, Housekeeping, Front Office, Maintenance, Guiding)
  • Strong financial acumen (budgeting, cost control, reporting)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work flexible shifts in a live‑in environment
Candidate Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day‑to‑day lodge operations across all departments
  • Lead, train, and motivate staff to maintain exceptional service standards
  • Manage guest relations, ensuring personalised experiences and satisfaction
  • Monitor lodge finances and produce accurate reports
  • Uphold operational standards, health and safety regulations, and company policies
  • Coordinate scheduling of staff and freelancers
  • Drive operational efficiency while maintaining luxury standards
  • Collaborate with Directors to grow and refine the lodge’s vision

Core Criteria:
Guide
  • Professional guiding qualification (FGASA or equivalent)
  • Valid driver’s license and PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
  • Strong knowledge of local wildlife, ecology, and conservation practices
  • Excellent communication and guest‑hosting skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts in a live‑in environment
Candidate Responsibilities:
  • Conduct guided safari drives and bush walks, ensuring guest safety and memorable experiences
  • Share expert knowledge of wildlife, ecology, and conservation with guests
  • Act as a host, enhancing guest relations and overall lodge experience
  • Assist with lodge operations when required (guest hosting, front of house support)
  • Uphold safety standards and environmental responsibility during all activities
  • Collaborate with lodge management to deliver seamless guest journeys
