Job Description - Nanny/Maid (Live-in)
Core Purpose: To provide dedicated childcare and perform general housekeeping duties within a private household, ensuring a safe, clean, nurturing, and organized environment for the children and family.
Key Responsibilities:
- Childcare & Responsibility
Safety & Supervision: Constant vigilance to ensure children's safety at all times (home, playground, outings).
Engagement & Development: Planning and leading age-appropriate educational activities, playtime, reading, crafts, and outings. Supporting developmental milestones.
Transportation: Safely transporting children to/from school, appointments, activities, and playdates (if required/driver's license held).
Health & Well-being: Monitoring health, administering medication (as directed), and communicating any concerns promptly to the parents.
2. Housekeeping (Secondary Focus - Child & Household Related):
Child-Related Cleaning: Laundering and organizing children's clothes, toys, and play areas. Cleaning up after meals and activities involving children.
General Household Cleaning: Performing routine cleaning tasks throughout the home, typically including: Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, Cleaning kitchens (counters, sinks, appliances) and bathrooms (toilets, showers, sinks), changing bed linen, tidying common areas
Meal Preparation: Preparing meals and snacks for the family.
Errands & Grocery Shopping: Handling household errands such as grocery shopping or picking up dry cleaning.
Typical Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience working with children in a private home setting (references essential) and prior housekeeping experience highly valued and an advantage but not a restriction.
Skills: Strong childcare skills, knowledge of child development stages, cooking ability, proficiency in housekeeping tasks, excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Attributes: Trustworthy, reliable, patient, nurturing, energetic, proactive, discreet, and adaptable.
Must genuinely enjoy working with children.
Background: Clean criminal background check.
Driver's License will be an Advantage
