ROLE OF THE
OFFICER - INTERNATIONAL PAYMENTS AND TRADE FINANCE OPERATIONS
The incumbent for this role is a critical element
within the Bank’s back-office department for the accurate and timely recording
and processing of international payments and trade finance transactions.
The role operates in line with the guidelines
of Bank of Mauritius as well as internal procedures and policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Cross border Payments: Efficiently process Inward and Outward Remittances
·
Trade Finance
Transactions: Accurately and securely
process trade finance instruments such as Letters of Credit (LCs), Documentary under
Collections and Bank Guarantees (BGs)
·
Reconciliation and
Reporting: Manage outstanding operations,
investigate payment discrepancies, perform daily reconciliation of
transactions, attend to queries/requests in a
timely and accurate manner to meet stakeholders' expectations.

Advisory: Assist frontliners with trade finance transactions,
cross-border payments and respond to general inquiries while maintaining
excellent service standards.
WHAT YOU BRING TO
THE TABLE
Your Track Record
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Banking, or a related
field.
Proven expertise of 4+ years of hands-on mastery
navigating cross border payments, trade finance transactions within a fast-paced banking ecosystem.
The Rulebook
Expert navigation of Central Bank guidelines, local
financial legislations, and airtight KYC & AML/CFT defences.
The Global Standard
Advanced fluency in ICC Rules & Regulations (UCP
600, ISBP, URC 522, URDG 758) and Incoterms to ensure airtight, compliant with international standard and
practice.
The Fintech Code
Mastery of the financial messaging , from legacy SWIFT
matrices (MT4xx, MT7xx etc…) to ISO
20022 messaging standards (Pacs.008 & Pacs.009, etc…)
Digital Literacy
Sharp efficiency with the Microsoft Office suite to
manage, analyze, and present operational data.
