Production Planner (BEE position).
Engineering Manufacturing of Castings, Rolls, Rings and Sleeves to the Steel Industry.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Compiling production planning and correct routing for new orders and remaining within estimating costs by using mould design and calculating machine hours as per Customer drawing and requirements.
Get quotes, plan and issue orders for all subcontracting work and deliveries for orders in system.
Monitor all subcontracting orders during delivery.
Keep Project planning system updated.
Order new drawings/revisions with copies for manufacturing process.
Manage and maintain manufacturing cabinets, updating registers in the drawing room.
Manage and maintain yearly crating/packing material.
Problems solving relating to planning must be solved and eliminated.
Qualifications:
• Matric.
• Qualified Fitter and Turner (Red seal).
• Knowledge of the roll manufacturing process.
• Read and understand Technical drawings.
• Minimum 5 years’ manufacturing Turning experience.
• Computer literate (MS Office, MS Projects, Excel, SAP, Access)
