Purpose of the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine in-process quality inspections on packed products throughout production.
• Verify that the correct product, packaging materials, labels, leaflets, cartons, and shippers are being used.
• Inspect product appearance, packaging integrity, print quality, coding accuracy, and overall presentation.
• Ensure all products comply with approved specifications and quality standards.
• Perform line start-up checks before production begins.
• Conduct hourly quality checks and record inspection results as required.
• Verify batch numbers, manufacturing dates, expiry dates, and product codes for accuracy.
• Monitor product weight, count, and packaging configuration where applicable.

Minimum Qualifications

• Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
• Quality-related training or certification will be advantageous.
• Basic computer literacy.

Knowledge and Skills

• Understanding of quality control principles and inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Knowledge of packaging quality standards and defect identification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to complete documentation accurately.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and make objective decisions.
• 2 -3 years experience as as Quality Checker
• Good communication skills 
• Clean criminal record
