We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Business Manager to lead the operational and commercial performance of our Business Unit. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across production, engineering, SHEQ, financial management, and people development to ensure the efficient, safe, and profitable operation of the business. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong technical and operational expertise, excellent business acumen, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute strategic business and production plans aligned with organisational objectives.
Lead the overall operational performance of the Business Unit.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximise productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
Set performance objectives and monitor progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).
Operational Management
Ensure the effective and efficient running of all operational functions, including:
Mechanical
Electrical
Technical Services
Production
SHEQ
Training and Development
Manage operational risks and implement contingency plans to minimise business disruptions.
Promote a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Financial Management
Manage the Business Unit's financial performance in line with approved budgets.
Monitor costs, productivity, profitability, and operational efficiencies.
Ensure sound financial controls and effective corporate governance practices.
Identify opportunities to improve operational and financial performance.
Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ)
Champion a "Zero Harm" safety culture across the Business Unit.
Ensure compliance with all relevant SHE legislation, company policies, and statutory requirements.
Drive continuous improvement in safety, environmental, and quality performance.
Ensure quality standards are consistently maintained across all operations.
People Leadership
Lead, coach, mentor, and develop management and operational teams.
Drive employee engagement, accountability, and high performance.
Manage employee relations and labour-related matters in accordance with applicable legislation.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven workplace culture.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Relevant tertiary technical qualification (Engineering, Production, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field).
Experience
Minimum 5 years' management experience within a production or manufacturing environment.
