Key Responsibilities
Product Distribution & Delivery
- Distribute products to assigned outlets, retailers, and key accounts
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
- Maintain proper handling of products, especially fragile or perishable items
- Monitor stock levels at customer locations and replenish as needed
Sales Execution
- Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals
- Promote and sell products to existing and new customers
- Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize revenue
- Implement sales strategies and promotional campaigns
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers and clients
- Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns
- Identify new business opportunities within the territory
- Gather customer feedback and report market insights
Territory Management
- Plan and manage daily routes for efficient coverage
- Expand distribution network within assigned areas
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends
- Ensure product visibility and proper merchandising at outlets
Inventory & Reporting
- Track stock movement and maintain accurate records
- Manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports
- Handle basic cash transactions and reconcile payments
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Maintain delivery notes, invoices, and receipts
- Follow safety and transportation regulations
- Ensure full compliance with all company policies, operational guidelines, and ethical standards in all sales and distribution activities
- Adhere to local transportation, road safety, and commercial regulations governing the movement of goods
- Accurately prepare, verify, and submit all delivery documents, including invoices, waybills, delivery notes, and receipts
- Obtain proper proof of delivery (customer signatures, timestamps, or digital confirmation) for all transactions
- Maintain up-to-date and organized records of daily sales, deliveries, returns, and outstanding payments
- Handle cash and mobile payments responsibly, ensuring accurate reconciliation and timely remittance to the company
- Report discrepancies such as damaged goods, shortages, or delivery issues immediately to management
- Ensure all products distributed meet regulatory and quality standards (e.g., expiry dates, packaging integrity, labeling compliance)
- Follow company procedures for handling product returns, exchanges, and refunds
- Maintain confidentiality of company data, pricing structures, and customer information
- Use company-approved systems or tools (manual logs or digital apps) for recording transactions and reporting
- Support internal audits by providing required documentation and accurate records when requested
- Ensure vehicle documentation (insurance, license, roadworthiness certificates) is valid and up to date if responsible for transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in sales distribution, FMCG, or retail sales
- Valid driver’s license (optional)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
