Senior Building Foreman - Gauteng
A leading property developer is seeking an experienced Senior Building Foreman to join their team on prestigious residential and mixed-use developments in the Midrand area, Gauteng.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction professional with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale building projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise all site construction activities.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and labour teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered according to programme, budget, and quality requirements.
- Monitor workmanship and enforce quality control standards.
- Conduct daily site inspections and toolbox talks.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Liaise with Site Agents, Contracts Managers, Consultants, and Project Managers.
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and labour returns.
- Drive productivity while minimizing delays and rework.
Minimum Requirements- Minimum 10 years' experience as a Building Foreman, with at least 5 years in a Senior Foreman role.
- Proven experience on large residential, commercial, mixed-use, or high-rise developments.
- Strong knowledge of building construction methods, sequencing, and finishes.
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and labour teams effectively.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Sound understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, quality, and programme delivery.
- Valid driver's licence and own transport.
Preferred Experience- Experience working for reputable property developers or leading building contractors.
- Exposure to multi-storey residential developments.
- Knowledge of CCS, BuildSmart, or other construction management systems would be advantageous.
