We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Storekeeper to join our team in Lusaka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse/store, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining a safe and organized working environment. This is a critical role supporting our logistics and supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes (LPOs).
- Organize and store items systematically to optimize space and ensure easy retrieval.
- Issue materials and equipment strictly based on authorized requisition forms.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using both manual logbooks (Bin Cards) and basic computer systems (Excel/ERP).
- Conduct regular stock counts (daily/weekly/monthly) and reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, orderly, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Prepare reports on stock levels, damaged goods, and discrepancies.
- Coordinate with procurement, finance, and project teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Stores Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in a similar storekeeping or warehouse role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management procedures and documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic computer literacy.
- Excellent physical condition; able to lift heavy items where necessary.
- High level of integrity, honesty, and accountability.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory for communication and reporting.
