About the Role
- We are seeking a highly experienced ACA/FCA to support the Executive Chairman on a part-time/retainer basis.
- The TA will provide technical guidance, quality control, and advisory support for complex audit and business advisory engagements.
- This is not a full-time role. Engagements will be assigned on an as-needed basis.
- Strong performance may lead to opportunity for Partnership or Directorate.
Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities
Technical & Quality Control:
- Second partner review of high-risk audit files before Chairman sign-off - ISA, IFRS, FRC compliance check
- Provide technical opinions/memos on complex accounting, audit, tax issues via email/calls/meetings
- Review draft audit reports, management letters, and advisory deliverables for technical accuracy
- Support firm during ICAN/FRC inspection by reviewing sample files and advising on ISQM 1/2 gaps
Office Support & Reporting:
- Be available for scheduled calls/meetings with Executive Chairman to discuss technical issues
- Draft technical sections of proposals, engagement letters, and regulatory responses when requested
- Help with preparation of management reports, board papers, and client presentations
- Quick turnaround review of specific client problems the Chairman flags
Training & Thought Leadership:
- Participate in training on technical and auditing matters for staff, and deliver sessions when required
- Write articles/memos/technical notes on topics given or approved by the Executive Chairman for firms publications.
Requirements
- ACA/FCA with 8+ years post-qualification audit experience
- Must have served as Senior Manager/Manager in a reputable audit firm. Big 4 or mid-tier experience preferred
- Current on ISA, IFRS, ISQM 1/2, and FRC Nigeria regulations
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Must sign NDA, Non compete and non solicitation agreement.
Remuneration
- Retainer fee + fees per engagement/review.
- Negotiable based on experience and scope. Opportunity for Partnership or Directorship based on performance.
