Position overview:
Full-function Payroll administration including all reconciliations for bookkeeping and compliance purposes and monthly submissions to regulatory authorities, provident fund and medical insurance.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- 3+ years wages / payroll experience
- Payroll software experience (such as VIP Payroll, Sage Payroll, Pastel Payroll, Payspace, or similar)
- Security industry experience will be highly beneficial but not essential
- Strong knowledge of wage processing, overtime calculations, deductions, allowances, and payroll administration.
- Good understanding of South African labour legislation, BCEA, UIF, PAYE, and statutory deductions.
- Experience working with large wage payrolls will be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills in both Afrikaans and English.
- Must be reliable, discreet, and professional.

Responsibilities:
- Process wages for 700-800 employees
- Capture and verify employee working hours, overtime, shifts, allowances, deductions, and leave.
- Ensure payroll information is complete, accurate, and properly authorised before processing.
- Maintain accurate payroll records for all wage employees.
- Reconcile timesheets, attendance registers, and payroll reports.
- Handle wage-related queries from employees and site management in a professional and efficient manner.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports as required by management.
- Assist with statutory submissions and ensure compliance with relevant labour legislation.
- Process new employees, terminations, salary adjustments, deductions, garnishee orders, and other payroll changes.
- Liaise with HR, operations, site supervisors, and finance regarding payroll matters.
- Maintain confidentiality of all payroll and employee information.
- Assist with audits and provide supporting payroll documentation when required.
