Duties and Responsibilities


Maintaining hotel accounts and preparing monthly financial reports
Ensuring accurate posting and reconciliation of accounting entries
Supporting month-end and year-end closing
Reconciling bank, supplier, intercompany and ledger accounts
Monitoring costs, budgets, variances and operational expenses
Ensuring compliance with Group policies, internal controls and statutory obligations
Preparing audit schedules and supporting internal and external audits
Supervising and supporting the accounting team
Providing financial information and analysis to support management decision-making
Always maintain a pleasant and courteous attitude towards guests and colleagues
Be fully aware of the Safety & Health Policy and Emergency procedure and abide to it
Coach new recruits in the department & existing team
Any other cognate duties

Profile

Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA or similar
Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment
Strong knowledge of accounting systems, financial reporting, internal controls and local tax obligations
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Strong analytical, numerical, organisational and communication skills
High attention to detail, integrity, confidentiality and ability to meet deadlines
