General Manager | Luxury Boutique Hotel | White River
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager for a luxury boutique hotel based in White River. This is an exciting live-in opportunity for a dedicated hospitality professional looking to take ownership of a well-established 4/5-star property and drive excellence across all areas of the business.
The successful candidate will be a strong all-rounder with a hands-on management style, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences to both local and international travellers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full operational management of the hotel
- Driving occupancy, revenue, and yield strategies
- Managing budgets, costs, and overall financial performance
- Overseeing reservations, sales, and agent relationships
- Maintaining exceptional guest service standards throughout the property
- Leading, motivating, and developing the hotel team
- Managing food and beverage performance, including menu costing
- Overseeing maintenance, property upkeep, and improvement projects
- Ensuring compliance with all legal, health, and operational standards
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as a General Manager within a similar luxury hospitality environment
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Excellent leadership and staff management abilities
- Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-driven approach
- Strong understanding of revenue management and reservations systems
- Passion for service excellence and guest satisfaction
- Ability to work flexible hours and be available when required
- Willingness to live on-site
Package:
- Salary: R30,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience
