Hospitality and Outdoor - New Vacancy - Junior Field Guide Hoedspruit; Limpopo Introduction An exciting entry-level opportunity is available for a passionate Junior Field Guide to join a well-established Conservation Lodge based in Hoedspruit, Limpopo. This role falls within the dynamic Hospitality and conservation sector and is perfectly suited to an individual who is eager to begin their career in guiding while gaining valuable, hands-on experience in a real lodge environment. The successful candidate will work closely with students and trainees, assisting with practical fieldwork, educational activities, and immersive bush experiences. This position offers the unique opportunity to not only develop your guiding skills but also play a meaningful role in conservation education by helping shape the next generation of field guides and wildlife enthusiasts. Situated in one of South Africa’s most sought-after wildlife destinations, this Lodge provides an enriching and supportive learning environment where you will be exposed to a variety of responsibilities. From assisting with guided walks and drives to contributing to daily lodge operations, you will gain a well-rounded introduction to both guiding and Hospitality . This role requires a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about wildlife, conservation, and working with people. You will need to be adaptable, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining high standards of guest engagement and safety. Job Requirements Entry-level Guide qualification or relevant studies in conservation or guiding Passion for wildlife, Conservation ; and environmental education Comfortable working with student groups in a training-focused Lodge environment Good communication skills with the ability to engage and educate guests Willingness to learn and grow within the Hospitality industry Positive attitude, team player, and strong work ethic Physically fit and able to work outdoors in bush conditions Basic understanding of guest service within a Lodge setting Flexibility to assist with general lodge activities when required High awareness of safety and responsible guiding practices Package Salary: R6,500 per month Onsite accommodation provided Meals included Hands-on experience in a respected Conservation Lodge Excellent learning and career development opportunity Start Date: To be confirmed
