About the Opportunity

Motus Mahindra Paarl is seeking an experienced, driven and customer-focused New Vehicle Sales Manager to lead our sales team and contribute to the successful launch of our new dealership opening on 01 September 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales performance, maximising profitability, developing a high-performing sales team and ensuring an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and motivate a high-performing New Vehicle Sales team.
  • Drive sales performance to achieve and exceed dealership targets and objectives.
  • Maximise profitability through effective pricing, deal structuring and customer retention strategies.
  • Manage vehicle inventory to ensure optimal stock levels and stock ageing control.
  • Monitor departmental performance and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Oversee vehicle pricing, trade-in evaluations and discount approvals.
  • Ensure a professional and seamless vehicle delivery experience for customers.
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints and queries effectively.
  • Drive customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention initiatives.
  • Manage departmental expenses in line with budget requirements.
  • Coach, mentor and develop Sales Executives to maximise performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, manufacturer standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive the sale of value-added products and services.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare and present regular sales performance reports.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in automotive vehicle sales, with significant new vehicle sales experience.
  • Previous experience in a Sales Manager or Senior Sales Leadership role within a dealership environment.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and team development skills.
  • Sound understanding of vehicle pricing, profitability, trade-in valuations and inventory management.
  • Experience managing sales processes, CRM systems and performance reporting.
  • Strong customer relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of target-driven sales environments and margin management.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and dealership management systems.
  • Valid driver's licence.

Advantageous Qualifications

  • Relevant Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management or a related field.
