Key Responsibilities 
Equipment Support & Maintenance 

  • Perform scheduled services, breakdown repairs, and fault finding EDS equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and automation systems.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to address recurring failures and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Support automation implementation and ensure alignment with site requirements. 
Customer & Team Engagement 
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with customers through professional service delivery.
  • Coach mine employees and staff on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Promote aftermarket services and products to support business growth.
  • Liaise with Product Company engineers to support product development and testing. 
Operational Excellence 
  • Participate in productivity and efficiency improvement projects.
  • Ensure safe storage, handling, and maintenance of company vehicles and equipment.
  • Support spare parts inquiries, on-site stocking, and inventory management.
  • Work collaboratively within the team to meet customer requirements and deadlines. 
Reporting & Communication 
  • Submit comprehensive daily site reports and weekly machine performance reports.
  • Report safety issues promptly to the company and customer personnel.
  • Communicate formally via email and respond timeously to customer inquiries. 
Qualifications 
  • Millwright trade qualification preferred (Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics).
  • Alternatively, proven technical experience in mining equipment maintenance and support.
  • Grade 12 with N4/N5/N6 Technical Qualification or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license. 
Experience Requirements 
  • Strong technical knowledge of Surface Rotary Blasthole Drills.
  • Advanced RCS troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Trimble High Precision GPS systems.
  • Proven expertise in automation implementation (advantageous).
  • Proficient in troubleshooting across all drill systems.
  • Computer literate with MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and to company standards.
  • Willingness to travel, work standby, and adapt to operational demands.
