Our client in the financial sector (non-bank) is seeking a highly skilled and professional HR Officer to support the effective management of human resources functions within the organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating HR operations, supporting employee relations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and attention to detail are essential for this role. The role will report directly to the Managing Director. Key Responsibilities: Support the implementation and administration of HR policies and procedures in line with company standards and Botswana labour legislation. Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, transfers, and exit processes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation. Assist with payroll administration Provide support in employee relations matters, including handling employee queries, disciplinary processes, and grievance procedures. Ensure compliance with the Employment Act (Botswana) and other applicable labour regulations. Coordinate performance management processes, including probation reviews and performance appraisals. Administer employee benefits and liaise with medical aid providers, pension funds, and other service providers. Monitor employee leave and attendance records and ensure accurate reporting. Assist in organizing training and development initiatives. Prepare HR reports Support workplace health, safety, and wellness initiatives. Promote positive employee engagement and uphold company culture and values. Qualifications Bachelor's degree/Diploma in human resources. Experience in financial sector will be an added advantage Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in human resources. Knowledge of the Employment act of Botswana Able to engage in meaningful negotiation and resolution. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Full understanding of HR functions and best practices. Must be eligible to work in Botswana Employments details: Our client offers a competitive salary The candidate will be required to work 8am to 1pm Monday to Friday length of the contract: 12 months
