POSITION VACANT – OPERATIONS DIRECTOR – BOTSWANA & ZAMBIA

An International Safari company with offices based in Maun is looking for an Operations Director for our Botswana and Zambia Operations. The successful candidate will manage all operational aspects of the company's operations in both Botswana & Zambia. The Operations Director is responsible for the growth and profitability of the organization within Botswana and Zambia. Requirements Tertiary qualifications either in the accounting, business or hospitality fields are essential.A Post Graduate Business school qualification will be an added advantage.Minimum 15 years' overall management experience in 5-star luxury hotels and lodges with an excellent working knowledge of operations both in back and front of house.Applicant must have managerial experience in remote lodges in the delta.Relevant experience in lodge closures, refurbishments, installations and openings is essential.Sound working knowledge of hotel financial accounting and OPEX / CAPEX budgets essential.Relevant experience in logistical management, cost control systems and human resource management including collaboration with trade unions and bargaining councils is essential.Must be able to travel internationally on a regular basis for extended periods of time.Exceptional computer literacy and driver's license is essential.The applicant must have international work experience.
