Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher Join Our SEN Team at Peo Primary School Peo Primary School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and nurturing Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teachers to join our SEN Department. We are looking for individuals who believe that every child can learn, grow, and thrive when provided with the right support, encouragement, and opportunities. Successful candidates will work closely with children who require additional learning support and will be part of a collaborative, child-centred team committed to inclusive education. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver individualised learning programmes for students with diverse learning needs. Support children with developmental, learning, behavioural, communication, and sensory challenges. Adapt curriculum content and teaching strategies to meet individual student needs. Monitor and assess student progress and maintain accurate records. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Work closely with classroom teachers, therapists, facilitators, and parents. Create a structured, nurturing, and supportive learning environment. Assist with behavioural support and social-emotional development. Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development. Requirements Teaching qualification (Early Childhood, Primary, Special Education, or related field). Qualification or training in Special Education Experience working with children with additional learning needs. Knowledge of inclusive education practices and differentiated instruction. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and record-keeping abilities. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Advantageous Qualifications & Experience Experience working with children with additional learning needs. Experience developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Knowledge of sensory integration strategies and positive behaviour support. Personal Qualities We are looking for teachers who are: Patient, compassionate, and understanding.
