Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field
- 3+ years’ experience within the solar PV or EPC industry
- Proven experience designing commercial and/or utility-scale solar PV systems
- Strong understanding of solar technologies, BESS systems, and grid integration principles
- Experience performing energy yield simulations and feasibility assessments
- Proficiency in design and simulation software such as:
- PVsyst
- Helioscope
- AutoCAD
- or similar
- Strong understanding of electrical system design principles and renewable energy regulations
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to sites when required
Duties will include but is not limited to:
- Develop preliminary and detailed solar PV system designs for commercial and utility-scale projects
- Perform energy yield assessments, electrical calculations, and system optimisation studies
- Prepare system layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and technical documentation
- Support the Business Development team with technical input for proposals, tenders, and feasibility studies
- Review site information, drawings, and technical specifications to determine optimal system solutions
- Assist with BESS integration and grid connection considerations
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, consultants, suppliers, and external stakeholders during project development phases
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices
- Support value engineering initiatives to improve project efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Stay updated with renewable energy technologies, trends, and regulatory developments
