Analyse regional market trends, competitor activity, and customer demand to identify new business opportunities.
Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and support to Dealer Principals, Sales Managers, and dealership teams.
Evaluate dealership operations and recommend improvements to enhance performance, customer experience, and profitability.
Drive the implementation and execution of OEM sales programmes, incentives, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
Monitor and ensure compliance with OEM operational standards, policies, procedures, and brand requirements.
Maintain oversight of dealer forecasting, order pipelines, and inventory planning.
Prepare, manage, and review budgets, forecasts, and business plans within the area of responsibility.
Monitor key performance indicators, return on investment, and dealer profitability metrics.
Identify underperforming dealerships and implement corrective action plans to improve performance.
Participate in network expansion initiatives, dealer appointments, and business development opportunities.
Ensure effective communication between dealerships and internal OEM departments.
Provide regular reporting and feedback on dealer performance, market conditions, CSI performance, and business opportunities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practices throughout the dealer network.
Support the achievement of OEM sales, market share, profitability, and customer satisfaction objectives.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 – 5 years' experience in a senior automotive retail or OEM field role.
Proven experience as a Dealer Sales Controller, Area Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Dealer Development Manager, Network Development Manager, Vehicle Sales Manager, or similar automotive leadership role.
Strong understanding of dealership operations, sales management, profitability drivers, customer satisfaction, and OEM standards.
Ability to engage confidently with Dealer Principals and senior dealership management teams while providing strategic business guidance.
Proven ability to analyse dealer performance and implement effective improvement strategies.
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing sales targets, budgets, forecasts, ROI, and KPI reporting.
Experience supporting dealer sales performance, marketing initiatives, and operational excellence.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field will be advantageous.
Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong leadership capability with the ability to influence, motivate, and develop dealership teams.
Highly organised with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Self-motivated, resilient, and able to operate independently while managing a regional portfolio.
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
