Job Summary
The PPIC Executive/Officer serves as the critical link between commercial demand, material procurement, and plant production capabilities. This role is responsible for designing, executing, and monitoring master production schedules and end-to-end inventory control frameworks. The primary objective is to optimize plant capacity utilization, maintain lean inventory levels (raw materials, scrap, WIP, and finished goods), and eliminate production downtime while minimizing holding costs and material variances.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Capacity Optimization
Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly Master Production Schedules (MPS).
Align sales forecasts and customer orders with plant capacity.
Monitor production schedules and adjust plans for machine breakdowns or urgent orders.
Collaborate with Plant Heads and Production Supervisors.
Strategic Inventory Control & Material Management
Maintain optimal stock levels, safety stock, and reorder points.
Conduct stock audits and reconcile inventory records.
Analyze material yield, scrap generation, and inventory accuracy.
Recommend solutions for obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
Supply Chain Liaison & Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
Translate production plans into Material Requirements Plans (MRP).
Coordinate with procurement for timely raw material availability.
Liaise with Sales, Logistics, Procurement, and Warehousing teams.
Data Analytics, ERP Management & Reporting
Ensure proper ERP/SAP utilization for production and inventory transactions.
Monitor KPIs including schedule adherence, inventory turnover, stock accuracy, and production lead time.
Prepare variance reports for executive leadership.
