Qualified Commercial Vehicle Diesel Technician - Gauteng, Sandton

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on diesel engines and related components
• Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and machinery to ensure proper operation
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems and provide solutions for repair
• Replace faulty components, such as fuel pumps, filters, and turbochargers
• Engine and gearbox assembly
• Ensure all repairs comply with safety and regulatory standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work and parts used
• Respond to breakdowns and provide on-site repairs when necessary
• Work effectively with the team to ensure timely vehicle repairs and minimize downtime

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic Red Seal
• Experience with Hydraulics and Electrical systems
• 2-3 years Prior experience in a transport or logistics environment
• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a strong understanding of diesel engine systems
• Experience in repairing and maintaining large commercial vehicles, including trucks and trailers
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
• A valid driver's license, with a clean driving record
• Ability to work overtime and be on standby as required
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
• Motor Industry experience Essential!!
